Philippine Airlines "Safetynovela" In-flight Video
When Philippine Airlines and BBDO Guerrero set out to create the world's first telenovela in-flight safety video, the challenge was clear: make audiences genuinely want to watch a safety briefing.
So we made sure every audio element heightened the drama, amplified the romance, and elevated the idea. Drawing inspiration from the traditional kundiman to modern local love songs, our composer created an original score that gave the film its Filipino heart. Recorded live with a string quartet and conductor at our headquarters and mastered in-house, the music brought cinematic scale and emotional depth to every moment.
The result was a global first that transformed mandatory instructions into pure entertainment. It premiered at the 2025 Metro Manila Film Festival before taking flight aboard Philippine Airlines' newest A350-1000 aircraft, and reaching audiences worldwide through online channels.
